Survey Camp

Survey Camp is a course that teaches both basic and advanced skills and practices, which are applied intensively over a certain period of time. Students will be exposed to real work conditions, latest instrumentations and proper work procedures in geomatic engineering, that are closely related to civil engineering projects. The course also enhances students' soft skills. The scope of study includes horizontal control survey, vertical control survey, detailed plan production, design of development plans and setting out.

Aim

The aim of Survey Camp is to provide students with exposure to basic and advanced skills related to procedures and latest technology in geomatic engineering for civil engineering applications.

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the course, students will be able to:

1. Identify new geomatic technology for civil engineering applications.
2. Analyse and apply the theory of geomatic practice in a construction site.
3. Manipulate techniques/methods, skills and modern instruments needed for engineering problems, to be compatible with industry requirements.
